Ludo Tourniquet wristwatch
This 1937 piece illustrates the application of the Ludo model to a watch format, and displays the1930s taste for secret watches. The bracelet part is composed of a flexible beehive mesh, each of its hexagonal units adorned with a star-set* ruby. The dial is flanked vertically by pave set brilliant-cut* diamonds, while two rows of calibrated* rubies frame it horizontally. Above and below this whole central section, two rings constitute a pivotal system that presents either the alternate appearance of the dial or a polished gold surface.
