Bow clip
This brooch is composed of an openwork platinum circle pave-set with diamonds and a bow, a traditional seventeenth- and eighteenth century motif, terminating in pampilles. The flatness of the composition contrasts with the realism of the drapery and volume of its folds. The sense of movement is accentuated by the asymmetric construction of the brooch. This piece was made in different versions that varied in the position of the bow or in the materials used, like the one made in platinum and diamonds with pave-set emeralds forming the fabric fold.
